How do I reserve a car?

When you've found a car you like, simply click 'Get Started' and after you leave your personal details, the car will be reserved for 24 hours and it's completely free.

Buy with confidence with our 14 day money back guarantee. Once you receive your car, you have 14 days to make sure it meets your expectations. If it isn’t, just let us know. We’ll take it back and refund your money.

What can I expect about the condition of the cars?

What's the mantainance history of this car?

Pre-owned cars are likely to have a few 'beauty marks' and ours are no exception. With our cars, we ensure there is no damage beyond minor wear and tear.Every car goes through an independent 228-point mechanical inspection to ensure it is safe as it can be.

Did the previous owner smoke in the car?

No, all CarNext.com cars are smoke-free.

Buying online

Is the online price the same as the in-store price?

Our fixed price is the same whether you buy on online or in the store. Our prices include VAT, and there are no additional costs involved.

Are there any additional costs involved when I buy my car online?

No additional costs are involved for buying the car online. We also offer free UK wide delivery too.

What if I want to see the car before I purchase online?

We want to make the purchase process fast and convenient, so that you don't have to visit the store if you don't want to. With our home delivery experience and a 14-day money back guarantee, you have all the time to test the car in real life and you can return the vehicle within 14 days if you are not satisfied. This is subject to mileage restrictions of 100 miles. You can also book an appointment with our Milton Keynes store if you would prefer.

What does free home delivery mean?

Free Home Delivery means that we deliver the car to your doorstep. Your car will be delivered to an address of your choice. Our delivery agent will guide you through the hand-over process and help you inspect the car to make sure that you feel comfortable with the operation of all the controls and can start driving right away.

Will I be insured during the test drive period?

After the delivery the vehicle is yours. It is your responsibility to make sure the vehicle is insured before you start driving.

What happens if I change my mind after delivery?

Our 14-day money back guarantee allows you to hand back the vehicle up to 14-days after delivery. If you have doubts or feel that the car does not meet your expectations, contact us and we will arrange the return of the vehicle to CarNext.com. (Subject to terms and conditions)

How do I make a payment?

We provide our bank account details to which you can directly transfer the funds. The full payment must occur within 7 days, after which we will arrange delivery right to your doorstep.

How can I buy a car online?

Fortunately, this can be done quickly and easily. Once you find your car, simply click 'Get started' and follow the 7 easy steps:

Buying

Can we negotiate the price of a vehicle?

No. We work with fixed pricing at CarNext.com. This means that the price of the vehicles is fixed, so there is no room for negotiation. Our pricing is transparent throughout.
The price includes:

  • VAT
  • A 12-month warranty
  • Delivery expenses
  • Interior and exterior cleaning
  • Car registration

Can I buy more than 1 car per purchase?

Yes, you can. Prices will not change and one purchase order will be made per vehicle.

Can I cancel my purchase?

Yes, you can. You have 14 days to change your mind if you want to. We provide full reimbursement in this case, provided there is no more than 100 miles difference from the mileage at which the car was delivered.

What is not included in the price?

You will be required to tax and insure the vehicle before it is legal to drive.

Can I add extra warranty? If so, how much does it cost?

Yes you can add an extra 12 months warranty for only £499.

What guarantee do I have if I am buying a car online?

We have a 14 day money back guarantee available when you purchase a car through CarNext.

How many times can I claim in my 12 month warranty period?

You can claim unlimited amount of times up to the total value of the car.

Delivery

How much will the car delivery cost?

All home delivery sevices will be free of charge.

Will you deliver my car to Scotland?

Yes, we deliver to Scotland. We cover Mainland UK.

Can you deliver the car at my workplace?

We can deliver the car to you, anywhere in Mainland UK. You can prearrange this with our booking partner when they call you. This only applies to the registered keeper of the car.

Do you deliver cars in continental Europe, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight...

At the moment we are currently not in a position to supply anywhere off the British mainland. CarNext.com currently exists in 23 countries across Europe so you may find one closer to you!

My postcode isn't accepted when chosing it for delivery? What do I do?

Make an appointment

Can I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment in our Milton Keynes store for all cars marked 'Request an appointment' or 'Available in store'. Contact one of our sales advisors to arrange an appointment.

Can I reserve more than 1 car per appointment?

No, that's not possible. We want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to see the car of their choice.

Can I come into the store without an appointment?

You are certainly welcome to visit and view our cars. Please note that we do not have every car at the store, some are held in a compound. We strongly advise you to make an appointment beforehand to avoid disappointment, without any obligation. Please call 0345 230 0055 to organise your appointment now.

Can I test drive a car?

Of course. Just book an appointment at the store. Be sure to bring your driver's license as a test drive cannot take place without one.

Part exchange

Does CarNext.com offer part exchange?

Yes, we offer part exchange when you buy a new car from us. To determine the trade-in value, all vehicles are test driven and inspected by a member of staff. We then provide a fixed price offer, based on day of market auction rates.

Do you offer part exchange when I buy online?

At this time we are unable to offer part-exchange or trade-in as part of our online platform, we do however offer this service inside our showroom. We would recommend that you trade-in or sell your vehicle with a third party before buying one of our cars online.

Can you give me an indication of how much my car is worth?

No, this has to happen at our Milton Keynes store. One of our sales advisors will test-drive and inspect your old vehicle before giving you a valuation based on its market auction value. It is currently not available when you buy online.

After sales

I have a problem with my car, what should I do?

We take pride in the quality of our cars and offer a 12 month warranty included in the price as a sign of this. In the unlikely event that you do have a problem with your car, you must report it to us and give us an opportunity to fulfil our obligation to you and put it right. Under no circumstances should you book your car into another garage without speaking to a member of our team first.

What does my warranty cover?

Before leaving our showroom, all second-hand cars undergo a technical inspection and have a 12-month warranty. This warranty includes:
✓ Protection against electric or mechanical failure of:
● Engine
● Transmission
● Tyre pressure
● Electronics
● Brake and fuel system
✗ NOT included: glass, bodywork, tyres, rims and upholstery
✓ Electrical and mechanical car parts which are due for replacement
✓ Diagnostic expenses and labour expenses
✓ Transport expenses
✓ Reimbursement of expenses for repairs which have taken place abroad

I want to return my car.

Once we’ve delivered the car, you have 14 days to test it out and make sure it’s right for you. If it isn’t, just let us know. We’ll take it back and refund your money. As you might expect, there are a few terms and conditions to this guarantee, particularly around mileage and the condition of the car when you return it. We’ll explain them all when you buy the car or you can find them here.
