About online car purchase at CarNext.com
Yes, and our other happy customers think so too. We only accept cars less than 5 years old, that have limited mileage. Every car is inspected on 228 points by our retail preparation partner. We maintain our cars throughout their lease period and for all of our cars we ensure the vehicle is mechanically and cosmetically checked and prepared, so you can buy with confidence. Your car comes with a 12-month warranty and a 14-day money back guarantee. We offer all-in, fixed prices, which means no auction costs or dealer mark-ups. Just high-quality, well-maintained cars at competitive prices.
You can choose the preferred delivery date online. Once your vehicle has arrived at the dealership and the pre-delivery inspection has taken place, you will be contacted by our sales advisor to arrange a suitable date and time for delivery.
We can take deposit payment by bank transaction or debit card via the secure payment page. We are unable to accept cheques.
Your deposit payment is separate from the amount you are choosing to finance, so it must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
All of our cars are accident-free and have been checked against being declared stolen, exported, scrapped or written-off. Our cars all go through an extensive 228-point inspection by our independent third-party to determine all unacceptable damage, but some wear and tear is expected with any car between 1 to 5 years old. Normal wear and tear may include minor scratches, scuffing or stone chips - not affecting the overall appearance of the car, or requiring the whole panel to be painted, and are under 6cm in size.
Buy with confidence with our 14-day money-back guarantee. Once you receive your car, you have 14 days to make sure it meets your expectations. You can always call our UK Customer Experience team if you want to have a chat about your car during that period. If you feel the car is not right for you, just contact us within the 14 days and we will provide full reimbursement, provided there is no more than 100 miles difference from the mileage at which the car was delivered.
All of our cars include service history, but due to technical limitations we cannot currently show the service history for each car online. For cars with a traditional service book, we store this in our database but we cannot display them on our website automatically, which is why you don’t see service history on this specific car. Some brands have service history recorded through the on-board computer and a photo is taken of the screen and is also available in our database. For others it is only available online and we take a print out and store it in our database.
You can claim an unlimited amount of times up to the total value of the car.
All of our cars come with a 12-month warranty at no additional charge. You can extend this warranty to 24 months for an additional £499 or 36 months cover for an additional £799.
Every car has at least 5 months MOT before you buy, but a minimum of 9 months when CarNext.com inspects them.
The maximum mileage that our cars come with is 80,000 miles.
You will be required to tax and insure the car before it is legal to drive.

Part exchange - How does it work?
Part exchange is when you sell your current car to help you pay for its replacement.
Each car's value is calculated based on several factors. Everything from mileage to cosmetic damage will play a role in determining the price.
Our valuation is completely free! We just give you a fair price, no strings attached.
The quote we give you is valid for 14 days.
At this moment, we only accept vehicles as part exchange, and not for outright sale.
There are a few things we look out for when deciding whether to accept a car. Take a look!
Mechanical - We won't accept vehicles that have noticeable problems with either clutch, gearbox, suspension, transmission or braking.
Electrical - All electrical elements of the car must function and all bulbs should work as expected, without any problems.
Engine - The car must have no major engine problems and start easily, run smoothly with no excessive noise, vibration or smoking. Also, the car should have no warning lights or service indicators illuminated.
Tyres - The tyres on the vehicle should satisfy the minimum legal requirement for tread depth and have no damage to the rubber.
The value of your part exchange vehicle will be deducted from the cost of your new car.
At the moment, we only accept one part-exchanged vehicle per purchase.
Yes, unfortunately the part exchange must be in the name of the person purchasing a vehicle from us.
Part exchange - What do I need for a part exchange?
A V5C is also commonly referred to as a 'logbook'. This is document contains vital information about your vehicle and the registered keeper. It is essential to have this document when part-exchanging a car.
Please contact the DVLA to request a new V5C. When you have the new document, you can now part exchange!

This is the first year your car was registered with the DVLA.
Yes, your number plate is yours. We just take your car!
Yes, we will need the V5C (logbook) for your vehicle.
Your vehicle will be taken to our processing facility, and then made ready for auction on our marketplace.
The tax for your old vehicle will be automatically cancelled by the DVLA, and you'll receive a refund for any unused tax (not including the month you cancelled in).
Part exhange - What about my old car?
Yes, to purchase a car that's cheaper than your current vehicle simply contact our Customer Service team. They're happy to arrange this for you!
All of our part exchange vehicles are immediately taken to be processed at our terminal facility. Unfortunately, this means we can't return a part exchanged vehicle.
The vehicles that we accept for part exchange must be completely free of any finance.

We take pride in the quality of our cars and offer a 12-month warranty included in the price as a sign of this. In the unlikely event that you do have a problem with your car, you must report it to us and give us an opportunity to fulfil our obligation to you and put it right. Please do not book your car into a non-approved garage without speaking to a member of our team first.

This warranty includes: ✓ Protection against electric or mechanical failure of: ● Engine ● Transmission ● Tyre pressure ● Electronics ● Brake and fuel system ✗ NOT included: glass, bodywork, tyres, rims and upholstery or issues resulting from driver negligence ✓ Electrical and mechanical car parts which are due for replacement ✓ Diagnostic expenses and labour expenses ✓ Transport expenses ✓ Reimbursement of expenses for repairs which have taken place abroad
Once we’ve delivered the car, you have 14 days to test it out and make sure it’s right for you. If it isn’t, just let us know. We’ll take it back and refund your money. As you might expect, there are a few terms and conditions to this guarantee, particularly around mileage and the condition of the car when you return it. We’ll explain them all when you buy the car or you can find them here.
This is something that we don't have control of. The DVLA will arrange for the new V5 document to be sent in your name to your home address and can take up to 12 weeks. You will receive your V5C code when you purchase a car so you can tax it.
If you have any questions, feedback or complaints, or if you can't find the car you are looking for, you can contact us in various ways. We are here to help.

Zopa provides Hire Purchase finance which is secured against the car. This means they own the vehicle until you make your final repayment and after that, it’s yours.
It’s important to note that if you default on your finance, Zopa can repossess and then sell the car, subject to meeting the conditions detailed in the Consumer Credit Act. You can read more information here.
No. Although if you miss a repayment it’ll be marked on your credit file which may affect your ability to gain credit in the future.
Getting pre-approved for your Hire Purchase finance means Zopa are pretty confident they can say “yes” based on the info you’ve given. They’ll have used your information to perform a ‘soft’ search on your credit file, to check you meet their criteria. The good news is, soft searches have no impact on your credit score.
If you do decide to go ahead and apply for the Hire Purchase finance, that’s when Zopa will add a ‘hard’ search to your credit file. It’s important to note that even if you’re pre-approved, your application could still be declined if anything changes on your credit file while you’re applying, or you don’t pass Zopa’s fraud and ID checks.
You’ll need to follow the pre-approval steps again to get another quote for Zopa Hire Purchase finance.
Your Hire Purchase finance isn’t final until you’ve signed your agreement, so you can get a quote on as many amounts as you like with no impact to your credit score.
You can change your amount through Zopa’s pre-approval journey or directly with us when you choose the car.
However, Zopa can’t guarantee you’ll be pre-approved for the new amount if it’s more than you originally applied for.
It’s valid for 30 calendar days, so you’ve got plenty of time to find your dream car on CarNext.com. You’ll also receive a reference code to correspond with your quote.
Technically, Zopa will own the car until you’ve paid off your Hire Purchase finance in full, but there’s no need to feel like it isn’t yours. They don’t put a limit on how many miles you drive and, once you’ve made your final repayment, ownership is automatically transferred to you.
Yes, you can pay more towards your Hire Purchase finance whenever you like, and Zopa won’t charge you any fees. If you do pay more, your monthly payments will reduce, but the term of your finance will stay the same, unless you pay off the full finance early. You can make extra repayments online by signing into your Zopa account, selecting your Hire Purchase finance and following the steps.
Yes, of course. Zopa automatically sets the date to 30 days after your Hire Purchase finance was approved but it’s easy to change. Simply sign into your Zopa account, select your Hire Purchase finance and follow the steps.
Zopa provides competitive rates to all customers depending upon the credit score.
As a responsible lender, Zopa takes several things into account to help decide if they can offer you finance. Here are the main criteria.
You'll need to…
• Confirm your identity • Be at least 20 years old • Be a UK resident with at least 3 years of address history • Be employed, self-employed or retired with a pension • Have an income of at least £12,000 per year (before tax) • Have a credit history that they can see, and a good track record of repaying debt, e.g. utility bills, credit cards • Be able to afford the car finance (in relation to your income and outgoings)
It takes just 3 minutes to find out if you're eligible and see your personalised rates. Don't worry, this won't affect your credit score.
Pease keep in mind, they can't offer joint applications or guarantor loans.
You can find out more about Zopa’s Hire Purchase finance by clicking here.
Zopa can tell you some of the main reasons why they decline an application, but can't tell you exactly why they couldn't approve yours. This is a security measure which helps keep Zopa and its customers safe.
Zopa understands that it can feel frustrating, so please have a look at the list below, and you might see one or more which could relate to you.
They may say no, if:
• Your existing level of unsecured debt is high • There’s not enough information in your credit file • Your level of disposable income is low • There’s not much proof that you’ve managed credit well in the past • Your credit score is low, according to TransUnion and Equifax • You've applied for a Zopa Hire Purchase finance in the past 6 months
It's not the end of the road. You're welcome to reapply for Zopa Hire Purchase finance after 6 months. Please keep in mind, you won't be able to apply if you try again sooner than this.
If you do have some funds available to use as a deposit, you can put this down and this will reduce your total loan amount, and could potentially improve your chances of getting an approval for a loan to start off with. However, a deposit isn’t mandatory, and depending upon your credit score it is possible to get the loan approved without any deposit.
Once your loan is approved and you have signed the finance and car purcahse agreements, Zopa will transfer the money directly to CarNext.
No, it’s mandatory that the person applying for finance must have an up-to-date driving licence.
If you default on your finance with Zopa, they can repossess and then sell the car, subject to meeting the conditions detailed in the Consumer Credit Act. You can read more information here.

About finance terms
The annual percentage rate on a loan is the amount the lender would charge if you borrowed the money for a year, as a percentage of the original loan. For instance at 10% APR, to borrow for a year you'd be charged 10% of the original loan, on top of paying it back. So if you borrowed £100 at 10% APR for a year, you'd have to pay back the loan plus £10.
An interest rate, or a nominal interest rate, refers only to the interest charged on a loan, and it does not take any other expenses into account. In contrast, APR is the combination of the nominal interest rate and any other costs or fees involved in procuring the loan. As a result, an APR tends to be higher than a loan's nominal interest rate.
When you apply for a loan, finance provider will “pull” your credit report so they can understand your past borrowing behaviour (also called a “credit check” or “credit inquiry”). A soft credit check won’t impact your credit score or show up on your credit report. On the other hand, a hard credit check might cause you to see a slight drop in your credit score, and it will show up on your credit report (meaning it will be visible to other lenders).
When Zopa calculates your personalised and pre-approved Hire Purchase finance rate, they’ll only do a soft credit check. It’s only if you apply for the finance that they’ll perform a hard check.
Credit reference agencies, also known as credit bureaus, securely collect, store and maintain information about your credit history. They give loan providers access to your credit file (though never without your permission) to help them make a decision when you apply for a loan. When you check your personalised rates with Zopa, you agree to let us to carry out a soft credit search with the credit reference agencies we work with. This doesn't affect your credit score.
Credit reference agencies have to share your credit report with you if you request it. Some companies charge a fee, some are free, and some offer you a free trial period (remember to cancel your subscription if you don't want to be charged). CheckMyFile is a multi-agency credit report service with a free trial.
